in my opinion it was hard enough to find an employer, but with so many companies closing doors and doing many layoffs there is just way to much competition. To make matters worse, the rules of the game have changed. It now important to check on the company financial records to see if they are in trouble and about to go under. Really a lot of investigating on our part, just to return to work. There must be some truth to the mater, now that majority of the job networks suggest using a Social Network for an extra push. To give an example Careerbuilder.com just launched a new one called BrightFuse.

Gateway 300

I have maxed out every possibility to make my Gateway work at top performance.. The memory is at 256MB can not be extended only has 2 slots. The main drive is running a Tivo 40GB, the backup data drive is only 10GB.

According to a report this machine game with an accelerated graphics card of 128MB dedicated.

That is a lot faster than my current speed of 64 from my Nvidia TNT Riva 2.

That’s an option will have to look what is on sale come tax time.

AOL Radio Tivo HME follow up: Day 2

Well my first attempt trying to code in Java was a failed attempt, could not figure out how to use the Java SDK. After some research on my part, I found a new route and direction that is not only supported by the Tivo HME but makes it in my opinion easier to understand. Installation of Netbeans has been installed and apparently now I'm running a server based interface to link to the tivo simulator. The quest continues.

AOL Radio and HotJava Browser - Tivo HME

Lately many updates have hit the tivo community, including Youtube, Dominos and soon Netflix. It's not so much a size requirement, but it could be processing power or just the need to look good on HD and LCDs. Needless to say, Tivo is focusing all energy on Tivo HD, Tivo HD XL and Series 3 leaving the much used Series 2 DT in the dust or will it. There is a saying, where there is a will there is a way. Tivo decided long ago to open the HME Developers, it's a series of code build in the tivo using the power of JAVA and a bit of API coding. Like others before me, the basic Tivo Desktop does not fit or meet the needs but rather put us in a holding pattern. So you use features like JavaHMO, Galleon, or Audio Faucet or even Harmonium. To add video can even use PYtivo using the Python function.

There are basic features missing from Tivo that can easily installed once the proper settings, and api functions of java match. For instance there is a project on Java.net called Tivo Browser the idea is to browse the web in the tivo itself, sound familar perhaps "Webtv" rings a bell. However, after doing some of my own research I think I may have figured out a work around that is not only a feature but runs completely in java "HotJava Browser" maybe able to be configured into a stream using the simulator through LocalHost.

How about listening to radio streams? Currently Tivo has the ability to use Live365 and recently Rhapsody a service of Real Networks. Due to a recent change on Shoutcast servers, unable to listen to stations.. When Google launched iGoogle it allowed use of XML which remarkeably is also used by Tivo, in theory if the XML can be configured just right, it could stream a scaled down version of AOL Radio into the tivo itself.

I'm no developer or even an experienced java writer. But I have taken upon my ability to download the Java SDK and the Tivo HME developer kit as well. It may take me time to figure out just how the Simulator and codes work, but one way or another I'm going to get AOL Radio on my tivo. Would you belive after reading over the readme file and each individual code that represents a function of tivo, it's actually starting to make sense..

HP Pavillion ze4900 freeze glitch

I am still trying to figure out why this laptop freezes. I mean I have done all the basics. I loaded XP Home without all the bonus software. I'm using Chrome and Firefox as default, removed all versions of AOL so it's just an app to the mail and homepage for the home users. But still this machine has complications. My quest to fix this machine is getting a little nuts at times. Running out of ideas at the moment.

It has come to my attention that collection calls are on the rise in a
very odd way.. I think there is more going on then people are owning up
to. My belief is this, collection calls are on the rise because once
Obama goes into the White House they will be forced to reduce aggressive
tactics if not restructure the process. For this reason, why should just
the middle class be targeted on back pavements when everyone including
the rich are also having hardships. Consider yourself warned big
business with your shaddy tactics your days are almost over.

AOL OpenRide

Every now and then AOL comes up with an idea to market and run with.
OpenRide had a good campaign, but instead of fixing the glitches it was
abandoned for less flashy but more aggressive. One might say I was
lucky to find a live feed from AOL to download the old product but even
opening ZoneAlarm to allow AOL to run, the dreaded system message from
Corp said this client was blocked download new one from
aol.com/download. Oh well, have programed aol.com as an app using Chrome
and removed all clients from home pcs.

Election day

In less than a couple of hours, Crystal and I will step into the both to
vote just down the street. Regardless of the outcome, history will be
made tonight. Either we will have our first black president or a women
as a vice president. For this home, it's a mixed bag of emotions. For
you see I have always voted as Republican, but this time the stakes are
higher than ever and not able to make those same mistakes. I'll go out
of the box and bring in the democrats to do the job, the other failed to
complete. The way I see today's results, is based on what I want for my
boys to grow up and have a future of potential growth and beyond. I'll

A Quiet Halloween

As a last minute decision, we decided not to go or do anything for
Halloween this year. Normally about this time we go trick-or-treating
with Joey around the block by his grandparent's.. But with Crystal
almost due to have Ethan at any moment, it's just to risky.. Not
counting the fact, did not want to give birth on October 31st. To no
surprise we had zero trick-or-treaters, just watched Fox "Smarter than a
5th Greater and Don't forget the Lyrics".

Growing up : Dieting

There comes a time in life, when we agree it's time to grow up and take care of oneself. That very moment happened when I lost my job and joined those unemployed looking for the next assignment. During this time of reflection, it allowed me to get checked out including my very first lab work (blood) to test everything.. Happily the results showed that cholesterol was a little high by two points, but I managed to gain 6 lbs in a two week period. Naturally this means my doctors want me to cut my intake and record everything I eat and drink, exercise 4 times a week for an hour. The project of tracking progress began yesterday evening, and keeping it logged on Google Docs attached to my site so that I can update it no matter where I am. Overall I have two months to show improvement or else. Not sure what else falls under, but I am taking the instructions very carefully. :-\

During the replacement of our water heater, we had to power off the water main in the yard. Minutes later, a neighbor comes out screaming I have no water, do you? Interesting enough, we did not know we had a double link to the water supply. To eliminate a problem, a call has been issued to Lakeland Electric to investigate our little Bermuda Triangle.

Have you noticed when applying for any kind of job, after a few days or so an email would appear saying that you for applying. Like most people, I often find myself deleting it to conserve space.. When applying to multiple positions it can be a chore trying to remember who is who or what applied to unless your tracking it. For that purpose I am trying something new, in the past few weeks began to track sweeps, and links making my site Web 2.0 compliant using different variety of things to make site more interactive with less modification to my html using AOL Press. This is a test run that I will be adding into my main page http://nethome.ds4a.com hopefully it will allow me to remember without taking valuable mail space.

Blood Work

To most people this is a common thing, they see a doctor and it requires them to get bloodwork. Well for me this was a very big deal, mainly because it was my first time. Yep, I was a virgin giving blood for the very first time. My experience with the butterfly needle was not that bad, I did swear under my breath but could not make eye contact with the nurse or the blood leaving the body. Reason is simple, I'm a fainter. Last time, was because I was playing with my cat trying to outsmart her by hiding my hand under the blanket and moving it slowly. I should have known better, being they pay very close attention to every detail. Well she got me and scratched me good, my wife says I turned white as I watched me hand bleed. This time was not that same experience, I just did not look so happily did not pass out this time around. I hear this happens at least twice a year. Yuck, I will deal with that when it comes.

Monster Job Fair @ PCC

Just less than 1 hour ago, the job fair started and hundreds of potential candidates roamed the grounds looking for work. A couple of familiar companies were on site such as ICT Group, GC Services. I only saw two possibilities for myself, one with GC Services as an Customer Service Rep. The other with Lakeland Regional Medical Center as a transporter or in the food industry. After turning over my resume to GC, I left with the feeling that a may have accomplished something. Remember, the fair goes on until 3pm. Best of luck to all that participated.

Uh oh, not good. Circuit city has been by destination for getting my wireless devices for the home network using TrendNet. Have become very fond of buy it online and pickup right away concept. Matter of fact, they have been the first to come up with the idea ship to store without being charged for shipping charges. I could be wrong about that, since Walmart renamed that feature "Site to Store" removing it's Layaway program. I guess that also means this is a hiring freeze at CC, which explains why my job application did not get a response.

Kraft Oven Fried Chicken

Be warned, once you show your family an interest in cooking it will never end. I made the mistake of cooking a birthday cake by the instructions and for the most part had a great time. From then one, every now and then with help from my wife Crystal would help make dinner. Tonight, I took it upon myself to defrost the chicken around 10:30am this morning apply ingredients and throw into oven for a good 20mins before flipping it. I suppose my next challenge will be lasaguanna. Should make Garfield proud.

Water Heater Ordeal

Every home needs hot water in order to function in our everyday lives. For the last 72hours we have not had that luxury, it's been ice cold water. We have a home warranty through NHP (National Home Protection) which covers parts and labor only. There is no reimbursement towards a replacement unit, and after having Roto Rottor come out for an estimate it would be close to 1,300. On the lighter side of things we found two contenders to make it cheaper. Sears has a special that allows it to go on the sears card including the labor with no interest for 1 year. Option two brings us to Lowes for a sale on for this week only for about $205. At the way things are going to cut costs it maybe a direction with Lowes depending on the family's credit of course. Should be an interesting direction either way.

Job Fair @ PCC

On Oct 22nd, Polk Community College will hold it's Monster Career fair.. Among myself and wife and countless hopefuls we will gather with resumes in hope to find that next position that pays the bills. With any luck, will take us off the unemployement train. Spending time with my family has been rewarding, but some heartache along the way. It's good to have a roof over my head in a temporary situation, but I am more than motivated to help my family live a happier life being co-dependent on our own two feet.

As mentioned before 72hours ago, the main webpage was moving from scratch. During that time, managed to use three different editors. One was based on NVU; which sadly was discontinued by Linspire so another group created Komposer. Not really sure why, but the Komposer product required alot of system resources that practially disabled my computer until a reboot was completed. Second was using a freebie called "AceHTML", a very nice package built on adware interesting enough, but it too has some quirks. Finally there was they discontinues product "AOL Press 2.0", this little jewel was designed by AOL's team and Prime Media from the early 90's. I guess you could say, I'm going back to the basics.

The great thing about the internet, you can rant and rave as much as you like. For me it's my place to vent when an idiot calls about something as dumb as a collection. It's understandable when it something you owe when you can either one afford it, or two responsible for. But it's unclear to me when and why they must lie to collect. Yes, they are people who are trying to make a living by meeting the requirement of the boss. Just think of it from our perspective. If we/you don't have it; don't you dare ask us to collect from other locations. That being said, the great thing about the digital movement is a little thing called "Caller ID". It quite simple, if I don't know you or want to talk to you. You can leave a message, but it will be deleted. There is no point in talking.

The truth is, no collect agency can cause physical harm after they fail to do the job they were paid to do.. They quit and find some other low life to do their job. Guess what, I don't care if it goes to other end of the earth. The same process will continue. Yes, the debts will be paid.. But on our terms, when we have it and we are ready it will resolve.. Not until then, as I said.. You've been warned. If you fuss on my phone, I'll post you. Good nite, NCO!

Disney ONdemand, not free...

When the service first launched on BrightHouse it was in trial or beta mode meaning it was free to use. Then after a few months it was removed from the free zone but still 1 channel before the free on demand channels. Programing for this channel has not increased, but the fee is $3.99 a month for service that has limited programing and a movie or two.

Solution: Set Tivo or your dvr to record everything you want and watch it later.

I love Disney services, but like everyone else I already pay for my Digital Three Way package including the "Digital Phone, Broadband, and Digital Cable" as one bill.. Including the $3.95 I already use for Encore Movie Package.

Until this feature goes free, I'll just let my tivo pick and record..

Here is the thing, my wife has gestinational diabetes with our second son due 1 day before Thanksgiving; and has been reguarly checking her glucose levels so the baby is safe. So she felt like treating herself to something yummy / safe that was suppose to be sugar free. Immagine my surprise when she sipped it and started to feel funny minutes later. Lesson learned I guess, before you venture out check the companies website on the nutrution of the product you want and then compare. After this occured, felt it was very important to contact Mcdonald's Corporate office in Illionois and explain this needed to be fixed immediately to avoid further damage. So what comes next, Corporate will review the product and maybe even pull the item until properly evaluated to be a safe item for those watching glucose.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An extraordinary fish that existed 375 million years ago had unique features in its head that helped pave the way for vertebrate animals to live on land, scientists said on Wednesday.

Scientists for the first time described features in the underside of the skull of Tiktaalik roseae, the so-called "walking fish" discovered in the Canadian Arctic in 2004. It is considered an important transitional animal in the evolution of fish into amphibians, the first land-dwelling vertebrates.

The findings showed that the migration from water to land was more complicated than merely having a fish's fins transform into legs, the scientists wrote in the journal Nature.

The head showed changes from more primitive fish that helped adapt to the new feeding and breathing conditions presented by a terrestrial environment, the scientists said. Like some other fish of its time, it had gills and lungs.

"It's not to say that Tiktaalik itself is a terrestrial animal. It spent most of its time in water, for sure," Jason Downs of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, one of the researchers, said in a telephone interview.

"So what it's really demonstrating is that many of these changes that are occurring and things that we once associated with terrestrial life are turning out, in fact, to be adaptations for life in shallow water settings that Tiktaalik might had found himself in," Downs added.

PREDATOR

It likely inhabited the mudflats of freshwater flood plains of a subtropical environment. It was a large aquatic predator, measuring up to 9 feet long, with sharp teeth and a flattened head like a crocodile and unlike primitive fish.

It may have been able to exit the water for short jaunts on land.

"Fish in the water, insects on land -- it could feed on all of those if you look at the skull," said Neil Shubin of the University of Chicago, another of the researchers.

Tiktaalik is seen as a forerunner of all land vertebrates including amphibians, reptiles, mammals and eventually people.

The scientists described key features in its head and braincase and the decline in size of a bone called the hyomandibula. In fish, this bone links the braincase, roof of the mouth and gill structures and coordinates their motions during underwater feeding and respiration.

As land animals evolved, the hyomandibula eventually became the stapes, one of the tiny bones in the middle ear.

Tiktaalik has features of some of the more primitive fish it lived with as well as features of the first four-legged amphibians that lived on land. Its fins had discernible wrists and elbows in an evolutionary step toward legs that could be used to walk around on dry land.

The underside of the skull remained encased in rock at the time Tiktaalik's discovery was announced. Using a needle to remove rock grain by grain under a microscope, scientists have painstakingly studied the inside of the creature's skull.

There is a saying, Persistence pays off. I will agree this time, it did. I have been for the past few days moving sections of my homepage to Jimdo. Not an easy task since I am used to file managers or ftp access to just hit Publish and have it automatically be on. Now with the use of Web 2.0 apps, it's alot more different with flying menu's and css, dhtml and a butt load of javascripting. Needless to say, it will become more easier as services are nowing becoming a synergy. I am still trying to figure out when someone would click on a link on my blog through the .rss why in the world does it re-direct to the orginal host page. Must be in the scripting, but not that important for now.

(My Nethome) - My newest task, has me attempting to figure out how to create and manage a homepage in Google Sites. In other services, you either have a FTP or a file manager to change pages including uploads. Google Sites is centered around Docs, and unless you modify a text for html, very little play access to make your page standout. Mind you it's in a very early stage, but it's a little aggravating trying to get it the way i want it. I may have to try a different approach.

It has not taken long for Google Apps to sweep the nation, or the world for that matter. Getting everything on the go, making life simplified. Sound like someone we already know? Google is becoming how we see Walmart, based on connivance and speed. Sure there will bumps along the way, but everyday they are part of our lives in a big way. As a matter of fact, I feel that it would be hugely beneficial for AOL members to convert to the Google Family as a whole. The news is agitate in a small and quick way using a very strong code, compared to super ads that take over when trying to read the story. Email can be chore in AOL, tends to get lost or damaged during client migrations: Simple enough move it all to GMAIL. Aol Pictures has been flagged for death, no problem in steps Picasa, allot more power and space plus speed and features endless options. Uh oh, see ya AOL Journals and to fill in comes Blogger.

It really should not come to a surprise when doing the homework to see the strengths and bonds these two companies have shared ever since the take over by Johnathon Miller former CEO of America Online. Here is my prediction, the merge between Google and Yahoo will not happen. Instead a stronger synergy will continue on the Time Warner front to take on AOL's features and functions. In a sense, if that were to happen Google could step in and take control over the blog pages in danger of closing on Oct 31, 2008.

One thing is for sure, based on home test using other mail services and features made my own family uncomfortable. I may have played a small part in this dilemma. Each workstation is equipped with Google Chrome with many apps I put together for quick access to Google services. Because I wanted a smoother transition, I switched the channel from Beta to Developer so Chrome is using the latest build every time a change is introduced. I for one can hardly wait for what is yet to come with it's potential of growth on a day to day basis.

This is becoming a case of dejavu, for the past few weeks many users are overwhelming the system. I really hope this bailout will put everyone back to work including myself. Naturally there is a backup in place, with a simple phone call I return call to claim the weeks manually can input my selection. 3 Hour Sugar Test

Today's test will determine if Crystal and Ethan are in the free and clear. Take a nasty drink and then have three seperate blood test to determine the glucose is normal. If everything goes to plan, her eating and drinking habits can return to regular. If something looks off, then another doctor will provide a new diet plus some other requirements to ensure Ethan and mother's health. I would have prefered to go along for the ride by driving, but Joey my 2yr old would not be that still that long. Mater of fact, I just gave the little tyke a Coco baba as he calls it and fast asleep.

New Way to Hunt Employement

Have you noticed the only way to find work, is to sign into a job engine and upload your resume. The old fashioned way of going to a business, asking for an application is practically gone these days. It's the only way to do business, but it's not the only way to search. During my time of looking, it would take entirely way to long to shift all the job engines to see what's new for me to send my resume. Then, I came to the conclusion there is to be an easier way of doing things. Guess what, there really is. By using a RSS reader, you could copy the feed and load it to agitate all those post rather then signing into every single website. I personal choice has been Google Reader, I just find the engine I want, copy the source rss, atom, xml feed into the service.

How would this work? After spending time reading my email from any sources, I would log into my Google Reader account with the APP created with Chrome and scan the openings including my news. Why is that ever a time saver.

With that being said, why waste your valuable time with everybody's page. Just get the vital information you need and move on. This in the end could speed things along, getting you and everyone else back into the workplace.

Uninsured Motorist hits Saturn SL1

This is truly a sad sight, our poor Saturn SL1 is still awaiting repairs after being hit by a moron with no issurance. Unfortunetly Progressive was not able to take care of this as quickly as we would have liked to. At present rate, this maybe coming out of our own pockets to fix come tax time, it's not in my opinion safe enough for Ethan and Joey to be traveling in. Then again, maybe once I find work, will just exchange it and let someone else cover the damage.

Browser of Choice

What is your favorite browser of choice? When it came to making apps load faster, it was of course Firefox 3 with Prism pluggin. Once Google released Chrome, I knew I had to see this for myself. The difference between everything on the market, Chrome just will not crash like IE and FF are known to do time to time. I have noticed that some sites are using a unique code to block apps from being created. Was not able to create an app for "My Coke Rewards" on Prism, but it did notice it works just fine in Chrome.

To take Chrome for a test drive, just head over to google.com/chrome: Be advised it's still very much in beta form so many functions one has become used to are not in existence but are being hashed out on a whiteboard somewhere in google land.

So your eighteen or over, you may have registered or like myself just received the voters card in the mail with instructions where to go. The deadline for our way of life is around the corner, it's vital for a change. For me this election has changed the very fiber of my existence and everything I've been taught along the way. My wife Crystal said it best, I wish there was a way to take some of what McCain stands for and add it to Obamma. What I am about to do is going to shake the very foundation of who I am and what I've done. So here I go, I am a Republican I choose Bush in the last election because the opponent had views that I did not follow. I am at a cross road again, Obamma is Pro-Choice on abortion; and it's against everything I believe in because in my eyes and everyone else around this world it's equal to death. That's besides the point, I have to do this with unselfish reasons I must make a stand and do what is right. All joking aside, we as a country need change. That is why I am switching my vote to Obamma. I told you it was going to shake the foundation, but I guarantee you I am not the only that feels this way. We as a country can not continue this path, we can not take any unnecessary measures to skip survival. WE CAN NOT VOTE MCCAIN and allow our world to collide, or our worst fears will happen and we will go into recession or worse a new depression.

But you know what, it's your choice.. It's your Voice!!

Work from Home

In this day in age, how does one looking for work turn the clock around to make life simple.. I've always looked at this as imposible because of scams in the past that wanted money in return. But this time, I'm heavily considering the idea just to reduce the need for traveling from city to city. Let's be honest, it does not make sense to drive 3 hours out of the way for $10 or even $13 an hour. By the time you pay for the gas and all expenses your short. However, if the same position is open from working at home; then it's a good idea.

As a chance, my options for work are now extending into areas that I did not think myself was capable of doing. Only time will tell if I truly made the right decesion.

To Move or Not To Move : Jan 9, 2006

The current apartment complex i stay is called "The Mallards of Wedgewood" in Lakeland, FL. Now don't get me wrong, I love this place everything gets fixed in a timely manor but our way of life is getting a tad expensive. We were paying about 720 including washing/dryer.. But the rent just went up for everyone another $15. Sadly only myself and sister are in work as Verizon has been closing many departments including where my wife worked. To afford things we like, for example FOOD and ELECTRICITY you know the basic essentials we have decided to take a step backwards and return to a smaller system that costs way less but not so much in the best location of safety. Why the change, well wouldn't you move to an apartment complex for a two bedroom for less than $500. To avoid too much attention, I will not mention the complex name but I can assure you it's definitely worth it. In the meantime, my new lease ends of Nov 2006. Only time will tell how we pull this off.

My wife and I are about to have our first born, only 8 weeks into the pregnancy still unsure if we are having a girl or boy. Not surprisingly, multiple dreams have emerged of possibilties. I keep thinking I'm having a girl she things twins.. Only time will tell, the due date appears to be late August or Mid September. Kind of nervous, but ancious at the same time. Financialy we are not exactly in the best of conditions. Then again, unless you are rich when is a good condition? My parents had me when my dad was in out and out work at least 3 times. I'm hopeing that not to be the case with my employement with ICT Group as I really enjoy my job very much. Keep you posted on the results. Gota start getting ready for work, mommy is napping.

Making the XM & Sirrus Merger Happen: Message to FCC

Dear FCC, Representative Putnam, Senator Martinez, Senator Nelson

I love my XM radio, I'm a listener subscriber by way of an agreement that
took place at America Online. I was a major influence in the agreement as
this was my pitch for improving service with music.aol.com as a joint
agreement between XM radio to increase it's listeners by providing
exclusive listener content such as concerts known as AOL MUSIC LIVE. The
public has the right on it's choice, sadly FM has lost touch with it's
overuse of commericials and repeat programing. The only turn around from
ClearChannel was to provide contest to when money listening arounfcc, aol, xm radio, sirrus radio, aol radio, winamp, mergerd the
clock for the hour to call. Now they use new tactics by way of sending
text messages for contest that costs .99 to 1.99 per entry. It's time for
change, allow XM & SIRRUS to join as one and you will see what the future
can trully hold for us all.. Know it's time for me to work my magic, have
you considered launching an FCC channel on the network as pitch? Why not,
there are many that follow what the FCC tells them there are others that
have opions that would like to be heard. This is the way to do it, pitch
the idea as an exchange make a new channel available as an open medium for
the public to be heard.

A few days ago, I Experienced some unknown pain that has trailed to the lower region of my back. I'm on three different medicines perscribed by my doctor all generics to keep costs down. But it's a combination of Oxicodine, Muscle Relaxer and an Arthrtist/Allery deterent. I'm not sure what that is for, since I'm not allergic to anything but I'm taking it anyway. My X-ray was clean, but this is getting checked out anyways to make sure there is not anything further that could be a potential problem.. I'll keep you posted. This is now day 4 our of work on my way to recovery.

Have you noticed lately many items in stores going down in price? For instance Lexmark has been lowering it's price on an All-In-All scanner, copier, fax, printer. It's life sadly enough will work for 2yr and die. My father in-law had to replace the old one for an HP 3 in 1 and opted for the extra 2 yr warranty.. So where is the old printer, it's on my desk.. So let's review. I have an HP ScanJet that I aquired from a friend from many years back that didn't like the size or it, and I aquired the old Lexmark that I use as a nice printer.. Nothing more. So there must be truth about one's junk is another person's treasure.

Normally I would not go this far, but with the hours that I work.. I want to come home and watch quality television with my family.. Lately it's getting difficult with less to choose from because of a select group that decided to go on strike and whine. I have news for you to realize very carefully, as with anything you can be replaced easily. Here is something that has haunt the very nature of American's OUTSOURCE.. A very dangerous term which has meant many companies moves the work force to outside locations or cut costs to other countries. At this point to end this craziness, I suggest the networks consider to look into other writers if an agreement can not be made.. Make this as an alternative.. Consider the visa commercial when someone tries to write a check everything stops.. Your protest has put entertainment on delay, and when we don't get our supply we tend to angry and go against those in our way.. Greed has a nasty way of getting in the way of progress. Don't make me write again on this.. Consider yourself warned.

Answer: TiVo has no specific plans to offer XM or Sirius integration, but has designed its system to easily add in more services over time. If customer demand is there, and if XM and Sirius are open to it, TiVo could add the option in the future.

Things I have noticed about my aging Gateway 300, the graphics driver 71.89 seems to be running slow from Nvidia but provide best performance. As for the Laptec Media keyboard and mouse that ate way too many batteries. I feel as if I hit a profound turn in my life, releazing I may have another little one on the way, and going through the motions where tommorow will bring. Yes it would be easy to say, hit the lottery and everything would be fine. Sadly I don't play the lottery much and PCH the same. So one does ponder this thought should I upgrade?

With AOL closing services, one has to be wonder how will this be an impact to the tech industry. I now understand that it's not going to be easy for what is to come. Services that we follow in our daily lives are now going to fizzle away, causing us to look into other alternatives for information. The deadline is set for October 31^st. I'm going to contact my friends at BetaNews to see what they can find for us.

The trust question will come into place, how will this affect all services to WeblogsInc?

We all know this day was coming, but to what extent was a surprise that almost all AOL members received notification that more was to be eliminated, less than 8 hours ago. Sadly, services that have been around since it's original launch are to be eliminated in the next few weeks to come. They include Hometown, Journals, and FTP.

Here is the original email sent:

Dear AOL Hometown/FTP user,

We’re sorry to inform you that on Oct. 31, 2008, AOL® Hometown and FTP will be shut down permanently. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Though you will be able to modify your Hometown site and access FTP until this date, we urge you to save your AOL Hometown/FTP content immediately, and consider other options for hosting your site. Read more about how to download and save your Hometown/FTP files here.

This company is out to destroy life! Your better off walking or bumming a ride than taking the risk of going with DT. Sadly like everyone else they love to scew and deny any wrong doing. My car had a bad pickup with sparkplugs not making correct contacts. Rather than listen to any blatant lies we took it to Advance Auto parts to get a diagnostic and it says Solenoid 2 not firing? Results I had to buy a replacement harness and new plugs. Furthermore nobody documents anything, and get this when you have proff of payment, it does not matter because it does not match ancient spreadsheet software. I will make this 100% clear, I want this company to suffer until they go non-existent. SO here is how to piss them off, when they call using the magic of caller ID never respond. Hang up when desired. OH and most importantly, attack with any legal weapon you have to buy them out and fire them all!

Day two in my conquest of activating my wireless network, finally resolved. The install for the "TrendNET Wireless" was easy but the hp pavilion ze490 refused to detect the wifi. Obviously ckecked the basics firewall, Wireless Zero Configuration, disable hibernate.. However, one key ingredient is required on a built-in laptop.. Enable Wireless button located on the front or side.. Now I'm fighting with Network Magic & Mcafee to allow print sharing to sent print spools withour having to disable firewall, I think it's resolved by permitting the IP from the server my Gateway 300 desktop.

In conclusion, I would like to thank my wife Crystal for direction.. She insisted I check with the manufacture of router and laptop vendor.
